Stylists have so many different needs with their Tools because of the complex Techniques that they use to get the desired texture in Today's Hairstyles
This means that "All Shears/Scissors are not created Equally"
You will always need different Shears/Scissors to get the most performance out of the Desired Technique that you will be using...!!!
I have a long History in Bridging the gap between Hair Stylist and Sharpener.
Because of my experience and working relationships with Scissor Factories I have gained the knowledge and understanding of why Specific Designs, Steel Quality and Blade Geometries all have Unique purposes directly relating to Specific Hair Cutting Techniques.
Because I have this information...It make it a Pleasure to work directly with you to "Dial in your Specific and Custom Needs" so that your Shear will "Dance through the Hair"
With Everyday Workhorse Shear/Scissors...In general this is the most used Shear...kind of an all purpose Tool.
This Shear should have a very Crisp Cut along the full length of the Blade...minimal pressure with your cutting hand should allow the Shear to cut effortlessly Wet or Dry
When typically talking about Dry Cutting this is the last part of shaping the texture of the Cut
There are far too many techniques to detain in depth here...but depending on the Dry Cut Technique being used is still a slight variation on sliding...the goal is being able to Cut while moving through the Hair...without damaging the Cuticle or the Cortex of the Hair
Slide Cutting is a much different because of the design of the Blade (as see on Left) the Shape of the Blade Promotes the Hair to Push as it is being cut...this is why a Slide Cutting Shear should "Never" be used for anything else than Slide Cutting...!
Hybrid Dry Cutters are a Shear designed to fall right in the Center of the Dry Cutting World
This Type of Dry Cutter allows Sliding from the Mid Point (Back) to do Sliding...and From Mid Point (Forward) more Precision & Detailed Dry Cutting
Typically, when using these types of Shears...most of your work is being done Dry
But even when cutting "Dry" there is two types of "Edge Sharpness" required depending on the Technique
As you can see there is a lot going on with the information on this Page...But with Shear Mechanix...It will be my Privilege & Pleasure to "Dial you In" so that you will have a better understanding of the very Tools you Build your
